CINF President of the Board, Dr. Siobhan Nash-Marshall and Board Advisor, Dr. Antonia Arslan were invited to speak about the Armenian Genocide and Dr. Arslan’s critically acclaimed book Skylark Farm at the University of Toronto on October 13th, 2017. A screening of the book’s film adaptation, The Lark Farm, prefaced their lectures. Arsinée Khanjian, a member of the film’s cast, was also present to field questions and discuss her role in the production. Their event was part of a larger conference hosted by the University of Toronto concerning literature and minorities.
Flying from Toronto to Georgia, Dr. Nash-Marshall and Dr. Arslan continued to present at various universities across the state. At Emory University, Kennesaw State University, and the University of Georgia, they discussed the post-truth phenomenon through the lens of the Armenian Genocide.
