In the Fall of 2021, CINF sent two Italian master-tailors to lead workshops in their craft at the Antonia Arslan Armenian-Italian Hamalir in Stepanakert, Artsakh as part of its Vocational Program. From September to November, they worked closely with their Artsakhtsi students, teaching them the skills of the trade in hands-on lessons, and designing a Winter line of clothes with their instructors. They used fine threads and fabrics specially imported by CINF from Italy. The courses were the first of their kind in Artsakh, and successful beyond all expectation.
On December 24th, 2021, CINF hosted a fashion show at the Stepanakert Gallery to exhibit the line as well as to celebrate the hard work of its tailors and students. In the show, CINF students modeled their hand-crafted pieces for a crowd of Artsakh teachers, ministers, and friends. It was one of the first public events held in Artsakh after the 44-day war. Children sang and danced. The event inspired hope in Artsakh. The event was broadcast by ArtsakhTV.
